The Lancaster County Virginia Education Foundation (LCVEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing educational excellence and expanding learning opportunities for students in Lancaster County Public Schools.
LCVEF supports students and instructional staff through private funding and resources that enhance classroom learning, encourage innovation, and strengthen educational outcomes across the county.
OUR INITIATIVES
FIELD TRIPS
LCVEF provides funding for all field trips at LCPS. A highlight is the annual 5th grade trip to Washington, DC.
MINI-GRANTS
Awards of up to $1,000 are made twice a year to teachers to enhance learning. Grants are used for materials for classroom projects, special programs, technology and more.

Students in Sharon Clarke’s classroom at the Early Childhood Education Center are enjoying a new “Happy Home Center,” made possible through a mini‑grant from the Lancaster County Virginia Education Foundation. The center features a variety of hands‑on items—including a picnic table, dollhouse, crib, high chair, and multicultural baby dolls—designed to encourage imaginative play and meaningful interaction.
The Happy Home Center will be used to support healthy social‑emotional development, helping students explore relationships, emotions, and everyday experiences through play.
